KulyuginaInstitute of Biology, Komi SC UrO RAS This paper describes the taxonomical diversity of soil algae of biological soil crusts on bare substrates in different mountain vegetation types at the Northern Urals. Cyanobacteria and algae were collected on ecological profile (with a change in height above sea level) from 3 mountain vegetation communities and 18 plant associations in July, 2018-2019. Algae of mountain meadow (1 – Calamagrostidosum, 63°40'11" N; 59°07'01" E), mountain forests (2 - Montano-Laricetum avenellosum, 63°40'12" N; 59°06'59" E, 3 - Abietetum geraniosum, 63°40'19" N; 59°07'04" E, 4 - Betuletum geraniosum, 63°40'29" N; 59°07'08" E, 5 - Betuletum geraniosum, 63°40'37" N; 59°07'02" E, 6 - Montano-Laricetum bistortosum, 63°52'04" N; 59°01'30" E, 7 - Montano-Betuletum myrtilloso-hylocomiosum, 63°51'38" N; 9°00'33" E) and mountain tundra (8 - Fruticuletum cladinosum, 63°40'47" N; 59°06'52" E, 9 - Fruticuletum cladinosum, 63°40'54" N; 59°06'49" E, 10 - Fruticuletum cladinosum, 63°41'63" N; 59°06'50" E, 11 - Fruticuleto–Betuletum nanae flavocetrariosum, 63°51'42" N; 59°00'17" E, 12 - Fruticuleto–Betuletum nanae flavocetrariosum, 63°53'38" N; 59°07'42" E, 13 - Bistorto majoris–Avenelletum polytrichosum, 63°52'37" N; 59°04'37" E, 14 - Bistorto majoris–Avenelletum hylocomiosum, 63°52'30" N; 59°01'31" E, 15 - Fruticuleto–Betuletum nanae flavocetrariosum, 63°52'25" N; 59°01'19" E, 16 - Carycetum cladinosum, 63°54'05" N; 59°06'06" E, 17 - Carycetum hylocomiosum, 63°54'03" N; 59°06'11" E, 18 - Carycetum polytrichosum, 63°54'02" N; 59°06'44" E) were investigated. Algae and cyanobacteria species were identified using guides [Komárek and Anagnostidis, 2005; Komárek 2013; Ettl and Gärtner 2014]. At the studied ecological profile, we found 99 species of algae from Cyanobacteria – 27, Euglenozoa – 1, Ochrophyta – 5, Bacillariophyta – 4, Chlorophyta – 55, Charophyta – 7.
