This dataset is a supplement to the paper of ''Second-order scalar wave field modeling with a first-order
perfectly matched layer''. It contains two folders. The first folder 'Computational accuracy' describes the forward results of staggered grid finite difference and traditional grid finite difference in different states, which can compare the different grid methods and the forward accuracy under different parameters. The second folder 'Absorption efficiency' describes the absorption effect of four different absorbing boundary conditions. It can be used as a reference for selecting effective absorbing boundary conditions in geophysical research.
